Type BB Back-up Rings have a concave cross section and are made from either PTFE or NBR or FKM materials. The large contact surface protects the O-Ring against deformation in case of high pulsating pressures. Dimensional stability of the O-Ring improves the sealing force and increases the service life. Static use if preferable and reciprocating movement is possible.
