Joints toriques

Les joints toriques sont les joints les plus largement employés car ils sont efficaces et économiques et peuvent être utilisés dans une grande variété d’applications statiques et dynamiques. Les joints toriques peuvent être employés pour étanchéifier presque tous les milieux liquides et gazeux. Ils peuvent être constitués de matériaux élastomériques et d’autres matériaux, notamment l’EPDM, le FKM et le NBR, entre autres.

Commercial Description
A 70 durometer VMQ. VMQ has excellent heat resistance, cold flexibility, dielectric properties, and especially good resistance to weather, ozone, and UV rays. VMQ has an operating range between -50°C and 175°C, but can withstand up to 230°C for a short period of time.

Commercial Description
A 70 durometer, NBR elastomer. The properties of the nitrile rubber depend mainly on the ACN content which ranges between 18 % and 50 %. In general it has good mechanical properties with an operating temperature range of between -30 °C and +100 °C. NBR is mostly used with mineral based oils and greases and is a good choice for standard applications. Used also as an energizer in T46N, M12N, Z20N, and Z52N.

A 70 durometer EPDM. EPDM shows good heat, ozone, and ageing resistance. In addition it also exhibits high levels of elasticity, good low temperature behaviour, as well as good insulating properties. The operating temperatures of applications for EPDM range between -45°C and +130°C. EPDM can often be found in applications with brake fluids (based on glycol) and hot water.
